Expands children’s oral language skills, developing spoken language for a range of purposes

PREP METALINGUISTIC AWARENESS PROGRAM: 2ND EDITION (PMAP:2)
Develops the ability to hear the sounds (phonemes) in spoken language
Improves important pre-reading skills including rhyme, syllables, blending and segmenting, beginning and final sounds in words
Get Reading Right
Synthetics phonics program (blending sounds together to make words)
Children learn to blend (read) and segment (spell) words as they learn the phonemes (sounds) – develops reading and writing skills together
Student progress is closely monitored and tracked
Guided Reading
Small group instruction targeted to the level of each student
Develops reading skills of decoding and comprehension
Supported by additional adults
